Rock, Paper, Scissors

Rock, Paper, Scissors

A Poem by Susan Beth Horvath

Rock
my heart
is
made of;
paper-like
the love
be-
tween us.
Your words cut -
like steel scissors -
love to shreds.
My heart
breaks
(scissors)
promises
you spoke.
Love
covers
wounds.

The end is outstanding. A smartly laid out piece.

This is put together quite nicely. The wording was perfect!
