Celebrations...

Celebrations...

A Poem by Surya

Least I know of life
Its profound mysteries
But I captured smiles
Of unknown flies

Least a pen I am
But prolific in pain
And gained words
That echoed as drops
In my eyes and ears

Least a voice I am
But consumed all the fires,
I know the worth of a soul
Albeit my death on parole

It seems like each stanza makes a statement about celebrations in a different way, but each contains the contrast between enjoying an accomplishment and remembering the rocky road that got me to it. Your message is enigmatic and I needed to read it twice to decide on how to read this (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I always think that the day we finally 'know' is the day we die...dk if we're even meant to understand all intricacies of life or are a part of it ourselves.
Your words here are thought provoking for me. Nicely penned.

The more we feel like we know life, that's more complicated it gets.
There is flow and depth in the stanzas. I really liked this.

"my death on parole"
but it will end up in the tombs, eventually..
we all will...and perhaps we will leave echoes of us in the words we have written at the most painful times.
and those flies are waiting, hopeful, smiling...we will be a meal for them.

Life is lesson and more lesson.
"Least a voice I am
But consumed all the fires,
I know the worth of a soul
Albeit my death on parole"
The above lines. Needed knowledge in old age my friend. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
