A Poem by Surya

Melodies are her words
benevolent is her grace
emeralds as her essence
bestowed mellifluent lies

Nothing is as sharp as her
Sabre dignity which had
cut my flesh of love and I
rained as giant of words

memories of her at stake
cursed was me! When
my exuberant smile
stored all her lolls

love is a mere word
honor is dignity
and shattered are dreams
in a house that never built
for her and me

you have described her amazingly and how the feelings were towards her are beautiful too. At the end comes the bitter truth of reality that cannot be avoided. we have to accept it and stop dreaming of what was never ours from the beginning.

'Shattered are drems in a house that never built for her and me'
In the last line you summed up. This poem is nostalgic of how you are fascinated by her and in the end you are back to reality by accepting the fact.

That is right. They can only be accepted.
As an independent woman, I love it when a love poem shows us a woman in fresh & striking ways . . . not the typical soft "womanly" junk! Any woman would be delighted to be described this way. This poem shows me that you really pay attention to the character of a person, more than their outer presence. Your writing is always unique (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
