Adieu To Poet's Swords...

Adieu To Poet's Swords...

A Poem by Surya
"

swords--Emotions..

"
Elite heart with caravan of words
A soul reflecting mighty swords
Journey from dried woods
to perplexion of caravan books

Hearty words left unsaid
drops of tears left wounded
A piece of paper had fallen
in a poetic soul of a land unseen

Destiny driven grandeur of life
Poetic beauty filled a soul
Swords as words stabbed a heart
many emotions postered applauds

Clinch of thirst to rhyme a word
Made a man from mad to kill a sword
Insane voice turned to sane in words
Driven apart from asylum full of swords..

Good comparison of all the ways words can be like a weapon or feel like stabbing. Some poets are particularly ensconced in the heartbreak aspects of life, so I find myself not really wanting to go there as a reader, but sometimes it's irresistible, the draw of the heartbroken poets.

Haha, They are....Thank you Wordman..:)
I like how you opened and closed this piece Surya.
It's an intense piece. Lots of swashbuckling metaphors and what seems to be a temporary resolution to the speaker's woes. Immersive writing.

You're most welcome. ☺
This reminds me of someone reading different books going on a new adventure and it sparks an interest in writing poetry.

I'm sure this piece and a deeper more personal meaning but those are my thoughts.
