Miss You..

Miss You..

A Poem by Surya
"

Sometimes I feel alone...

"
Son, you are leading nowhere,
Oh my son! close your shatter box,
Seal your dreamy world,
Stop your sailing boat.

My son, It leads you nowhere,
Be a Bookworm, Win monthly funds,
Find happiness in six digits,
Travel from home to hell on four wheels.

My son this is life,
Your theatre in your brain
leads you nowhere except
an unworthy visit to wonderland...

Most of the father's I seen used to say these words and wanted their children to be as said...
But there are few, who says,

My son, You are a gift,
You are my love,
Your heart sings I know
Dance to those tunes...

My son you dream I know,
Let them happen,
Give them life
And live your own life..

I don't need any digits of paper,
I need days of your happiness
In which you smile and make others smile,
My son, Live your own life..

Dear son, living a life
doesn't mean earning money,
owning walls or cars,
Or sharing a life with loved ones...

My son, But living a life means,
Living in your dreams and
bringing them alive,
Share your happiness with your loved ones,
Cry alone, Make everyone smile..

Ultimately live a life
that you chosen, Don't sacrifice,
face your struggles alone,
Win your game, My son I wanna see you smile...

After all I could only say Miss you Dad...

Thank you Xoxo..for your kind visit and words...am glad you liked it...:)
It is truly expressed here the expectations of a parent from his child. Parents needs to mend their minds as children are creative in their own way. You wrote it well. Keep writing.

Thanks a ton Farhan....:)
You've crafted a very creative way to say what happens many times between father & son (or any parent & child): Some parents stress the importance of "Being Somebody" (important) or "Making Money" -- saying these should be the main goals in life, whereas sometimes a young adult will pursue something less rewarding monetarily, but it will bring the child much joy & satisfaction. You've drawn a nice comparison to help SHOW the way each of these parental approaches can hinder or encourage the young adult child. I believe you've mostly left it to the reader to decide, but a loving response is always best.

your words just amazed me, Surya. everybody's dad wanna his son to read and write and want him to get a good job.but only few are there who want their child to live his dreams, never forces him to do anything that he doesn't want to do. This poem deserves appreciation. Great work.

Our fathers wisdom cannot be measured. Their experiences, what they've seen can only enhance the decisions and advice they pass onto their own family. Your words radiate warmth and compassion. I really enjoyed this Surya. Nicely done.

Very true Surya... our parents usually say the right things to us, but we don't always listen, cause we're in this dreamy world...
