Motherland

Am proud to be here...

There is,

A land where a man of peace was born,

A land where a man can be a missile,

A land where a lady is treated as a Mother,

A land where every individual is ready to 

Sacrifice their life for their Flag,

A land where a cup of tea can polish currency,

A land where I salute it's Flag with pride,

A land which has an unbelievable past of

Sacrifices to make their Wheel float in air,

A land Where I respect every green man,

A land where all these legends are born,

The land, India, where I live,

Am an Indian and am proud of it.

I don't understand your author's note . . . how could this be understood as being negative? It's very positive. I'm from the US, but very glad to hear about another country's feelings of pride & contentment.

Your ideas are well-expressed with many good examples to show us why you feel this way. I like that some of your examples are original & unusual, not always the same kinds of things we hear in a patriotic message. I have found, thru my online social experiences, that people from India are always the most gentle spirits & having a friendly understanding openness to any & all other peoples.

This is not clear: "every green men" (maybe this is the color of military uniform? maybe another detail or two to help clarify).

Line 2: man of peace WAS born (not "had")
Line 4: a lady treated . . . a lady IS treated
