Familiar Stranger

Familiar Stranger

A Poem by Loewe

This world of mine had grown dim
I'm looking in the mirror at that familiar stranger
Had me feeling like the Lone Ranger, so alone
I'd rather be a Power Ranger, a part of something
Instead I'm left feeling like nothing

I'm not a part of the Liberal agenda
The don't mean I don't wanna be free
People keep doing me but I'm me
So I'll do me  and you do you

Can't nobody see me through but me
Took me so long and so far just to see
That all I can be is me, the familiar stranger
Not a Power Ranger or Lone Ranger, just me
That's all I need to be free
