Cheap Smoke

Cheap Smoke

A Poem by Loewe

Cold coffee and cheap cigarettes coat my resolve
Blowing smoke through my nostrils, enjoying the smooth burn
I could go away in a hail of bullet but smoke is cheaper

Watch me fade behind the haze
Let the ceiling hold the white smoke of my last cigarette
Let it breath and burst into flame
Blow me away with the cheap smoke

Pull in a deep drag and let it fill you
Let it pull you away from here and away from me
Taken by the morning wind along with your soul

We could burn away with the gunpowder and smoke
Washed away like the blood from our wounds
We could go away in a hail of bullets but smoke is cheaper
