SunflowersA Poem by Raylene
As I drive.
I see fields. Fields of rice and cotton. Oh my dear Arkansas. You are my home. Raised me from your dirt. Feed me from your fields. Lighted my way by the moon. Oh my dear Arkansas . I grew up in you. Growing to dream. Growing to love. I see honeysuckle. Tulips and dandelions as I walk through my old town. I however I relate to the sunflower. Some see as a weed. A tall plant. Just there for the birds and decorations. I see something beautiful. Growing toward t he Sun. As I grow to reach for my dreams. As the sunflower I try to see the brightness in life. And as a sunflower I may seem sometimes like a odd weed. Yet I am just a unique flower. Just like the sunflower. © 2016 RayleneReviews
