Cardinal

Cardinal

A Poem by Raylene

The cardinal red as a cherry.
I see it fly so high free to be.
Smiling at it seeing me.

The cardinal is an exquisite bird, and you have paid it homage in a way that brings cheer to this reader!
The thought of one smiling brings a smile to me, and I am sure to others who read your inspiring words!

Thank you dear, I'm not much of a poet actually
Hi, Dear Raylene! : )
I enjoy mono-rhymed poetry, especially when it's done so well, with such beautifully expressed imagery as this one is.
Short, but ohhh so entreating and lasting to the senses!
The Cardinal, one of my most favorite birds to enjoy on the tree outside my office window … they gift so much cheer to the eye and spirit.

Many grateful thanks for this delightful moment shared, M'Lady! ⁓ Richard

Thank you deaw
I love the idea of sitting outside and just enjoying something a simple as a bird doing what birds do.

A red cardinal flying high in the sky must be a treat to the eye.
Seeing a bird fly freely often brings to mind how man is chained to circumstances. Can we really fly free like the birds?
