Dirty LaundryA Poem by Palmerd3A prose poem for kidsA dirty cotton sock near the top of
the hamper turned to his mate and said, “Don’t you just love laundry day?” His fellow sock paused for a moment
to ponder the question. “I suppose it’s nice to be worn again after a week of
waiting around.” A pair of gym shorts shifted in agreement. “Don’t you have bigger dreams?” the
dirty sock shook his cuff in disgust. “What could we possibly accomplish as
socks?” the sock mate said. The dirty sock’s toe curled into a
smile. “I propose that we hop out of the clean clothes pile and make a break
