Be.

Be.

A Poem by Audrey Wynters
"

Something I wrote shortly before moving out west and living in the Rockies for a year. I was tired of the life I had in the city and I needed to get away.

"

Cold night, lost stars,

Forever in solitude.

The face of fear.

Now a mountain before me,

Can I conquer this doubt?

Long roads leading to nothing,

I have followed too long.

Sometimes the road back,

Seems much to hard.

I fought the city lights,

Walked the sidewalks and avenues.

I found nothing for me in that life,

So I left it behind me,

A diminishing glow in the distance.

I turned my eyes to the stillness,

Searching for my place.

I found a wholeness and an emptiness,

Happiness over an undying loneliness,

Completion and absolute destruction.

This is my place,

I can belong here.

In this strange place,

I am home.

About
I love to read and write and have been actively doing both since I was a little girl. I dream of the day I might see my writing in print so I can turn to someone and say "I wrote that". I love the.. more..
