Innocent DeceiverA Poem by Kayla KWith painted lies and painful words,
twisting cyclone, secret hate. So-called friends actions alone will tell me how with them I rate. Inventing shadows, in sunny places. The hater band, plays the aces. Venom words leave scars, like piercing daggers. Down lonely pathways the victim staggers. Cry me a river, I still see lies. A stab in the back, is no surprise. I'm used to being hurt, but I still feel the pain. Just like all the people, keep feeling pouring rain. Judge me simple, or riddle my rhyme. It's you, not I, who committed crime. Point fingers if you please, but we all have our scars. Every child used to wish, on every shooting star. If you can't spare me the truth, then please get out of my life. Spare me, once, a little strife. An apology means nothing. Sorry is a reoccurring word. Repeated every second, it no longer is treasured. Answer me with truth, and we can get along. One thing I've learned, lies don't make the strong. You'll plead not guilty, and the jury will believe. Onlookers stand blind, innocent as you deceive. Oh, innocent deceiver, did my back hurt your knife? Did I ruin your plan, to ruin my life? © 2011 Kayla KReviews
