Lamentful LettersA Poem by Kayla KParents are oblivious. Open your eyes.Dear mom, I'm writing this to tell you, that I am not perfection. And well I have your attention, there's a few things I should mention. ~*~ That scar upon my forearm, it is not from the cat. That scar is from a razor, from where the blade once sat ~*~ Yes, I have felt love I know that it exists And yes love has hurt me I still have all the scars They sit upon my wrists ~*~ Music is my escape. Poetry, my savior All the words I write, they are words of a bleeder ~*~ To you, I am a stranger My thoughts are unknown You have failed to notice, that I always feel alone. ~*~ It's alright, dear mother, because I still love you You're a smart brave lady. But when it comes to me, you don't have a clue. © 2011 Kayla K |
