Tomorrow Felt Like a Good Day Yesterday

Tomorrow Felt Like a Good Day Yesterday

A Poem by Superconge
"

Let's keep wasting time.

"

Tomorrow felt like a good day yesterday,

Waiting around; hanging around, the hands didn’t seem to turn,

Trying to figure out complexities in simplicity,

But you ignored the beauty in what you didn’t see,

When the mirror decided to show accuracy,

But that was when yesterday was today.

Pockets of emotion show the humanity you try to hide,

An alien to no one but yourself,

Perhaps today will be a good day for you,

Will you find your reflection?

Will you accept your likeness, or disown your doppelganger?

Perhaps today will be a good day for all.

Did that indecisive scale lie again,

Or did your naivety hide the truth from you?

It’s fine, it’s all a conspiracy,

It’s not like you're responsible for those empty bottles of lies,

Which fill and clutter your wife’s mind.

Today is a good place to rest your mind; wait for another cycle of the clock.

Tomorrow felt like a good day yesterday,

But you knew the truth better than you thought.

Your feelings got the better of you,

Because tomorrow has seen two rotations of a tall hand,

Now it’s 7:45, now

it’s 7:46,

Now it’s 9:52,

And yet it already reeks of despair,

And the realization hits, that nothing

can stop the conspiracy of reality which plagues your mind.

Guess you should’ve listened when we said:

If tomorrow is your destination, you’ll only forget yesterday.
