Losing

Losing

A Poem by Ignorance Was Bliss Everything Was Free

You're rotting away, slowly honey.
It's dieing down, a slower demise.
Your eyes black, blacker than space.
I couldn't imagine, I'd see through your lies.

It's eating you from exsistance.
You're feeding from the soul.
The soul of a madness.
This soul will cause too great a tole.

Wake up sweety,
It's not you,
You've got to be strong baby,
You'll see this through.

Grab my hand,
I'll hold it out to you.
But you push it away,
Whats left to do?

I assume you'll come back,
One day I know.
For now you'll do what comes.
The trauma will grow.

I leave you alone.
I 'll let you be.
Only because I love you.
Now go, love you're free.

This feels like it comes from the depths of soul, a very old place.. the lines are potent in meaning and I really enjoyed the mood here as I adore darker/gothic poetry.

Nice flow in beautiful decay!
