One More Time..

One More Time..

A Poem by Ignorance Was Bliss Everything Was Free

One last time, I say this to you.

I have nothing left, no more smiles.

No more I love you too's..

Just this silence.

I hold it close, It's getting the best of me.

You've always been the one,

I've never said a word, but I breath.

Breathing is all I could ever do.

You are nobody, I am nothing.

This is what we are, invisible.

Not seeing you when you're in my face!

Screaming into your ear is pointless!

It's the silence that breaks me..

It's the season changing again.

You mean nothing to me,

I am nobody to you, it's always been this way.

Meaningless is what we are,

Pointless is this relationship.

We are unwinding and slowly parting.

As it's always been.

I look in your eyes to see that you're hollow,

You cut me open to see I'm not bleeding.

You've been swallowed by the nothingness.

I've been sucked dry by the immortal nobody.

Drowning in my addictions, Hazardous to your feelings.

Hiding in your intentions, regretfully getting away with them.

This torment never leaves us to this we are destined.

I have the key to your black heart and you are the aswer to my obssessions.

Plenty of reason to smile then, you've shown yourself to be strong by getting over your addiction, showed yourself it isn't helping you, only making you numb to everything. Occasional numbness is fine but addiction, to anything that isn't helping you at all, will make you permanently so, to the point family doesn't matter, even you yourself really don't matter. Have to feel, have to live, gotta be able to, to know what the vaue of life is, and all involved in yours. Great poem, time well-spent in writing it.

Dysfunction and darkness are like mother's milk; whether you know it or not, you need it. What's the use of giving up addiction for a mundane life and emptiness? At least obsession gives you something to do.

This is beautiful... It was a little bit rough in the start, but you really found your beat in the end, and with the last two stanza... man you nearly knocked the air out of me.
