Love Me Not

Love Me Not

A Poem by Ignorance Was Bliss Everything Was Free

Drunk again, nothing to lose.

You're long gone, He's all over me tonight.

I don't stop his hands, from going there again.

No reason to stop this, It's all in good timing.

The empty glass bottle I had hit's the floor once more.

You're off to a better life and I'm stuck in the same place.

It doesn't get better nor worse anymore.

Stays about the same but I'm used to it by now.

I used to shine like you, But my colors have dulled,

and My smile is no longer how you had described it before.

My clothes worn from his beatings, My conscious gone from the drinking.

This is how it had to be, I knew you were leaving.

Not bad at all, pretty good actually despite the saddened, grey tone of the poem. You seem to shine pretty well to me though, personally, if this is about you haha. Great job, and you're a really good writer.
