Comfort from a Stranger

Comfort from a Stranger

A Poem by Ignorance Was Bliss Everything Was Free

Undefined man. Indentified friend. Comfort rarely found, givin by your first words.

What a strange comfort. From that of a perfect stranger. Still seed's in nature.

Root's cutting sharp paths, leading you to finding yourself. New friend, new friend.

I'm here for you. Compassionate and eager, I'm here to listen. I'm not one to fear but

only a woman. I have a heart and soul like you. For some odd reason I am curious,

never before like this. Only time can tell me what brings this amount of wonder.

Life has deceived you but will turn it's cheek the world will take it's tole gently.

You're new born mind not yet discovered. Not by this world. An individual in your

life is patiently waiting to figure you out. You have yet many beautiful sunsets to

perceive, in the eyes of new relations. Personalities to die for in the eye of the

foreteller. Judgement is irrelavant to those who know nothing about you.

Soulfully, mindfully, and spiritually. Life is something to look not downward but

forward to. You have yet many experiences, love's, hate's, lust's, like's, and complication's

to make something of. To learn from, and accept that the past is the past and the future is

in your hands. So new friend, I am here now. I am your ear when you need to be heard,

and your sympathy, when you need a shoulder. The undefined friend is here.

Stunning! I dig this piece because I feel like you could be talking to an actual newborn; or somebody who may not know how special they are to you; or simply to yourself....that side of you that doubts sometimes, like we all tend to do.

I love the flow and the wisdom provided in this piece. Sometimes definitions aren't even worthy of describing what's actually felt, given, received, put-out, etc....

Dope joint.

excellent! this poem shines with such optimistic sincerity that it makes for a very enjoyable read. it does so much good to read positive poems like this every now and then after spending too much time with the gloomy ones. not only can your write such magnificent poems regarding the dark side of love/ relationships/ life, etc. but you can write equally powerful, if not more so, poems of inspiration and hope. I especially dig the lines:

"Life is something to look not downward but forward to."

"...accept that the past is the past and the future is in your hands."

and

"I am you ear when you need to be heard, and your sympathy, when you need a shoulder."

thank you for sharing this! I will refer to it often as a little pick-me up when things are looking down.
