He

He

A Poem by Sunshine Kid

He’s tired
But he won’t sleep
He’s angry
But he won’t say a word
He’s hungry
But he won’t eat
He’s lonely
So he’ll hug a friend
He’s crazy
But he won’t scream
He’s sad
But he won’t explain
He’s afraid
But he won’t admit
He’s without
But he won’t beg
He’s hurt
But he won’t lick the wounds
He’s fair
But he’ll fight
He’s slight
But he’ll fair
He’s dangerous
So he’ll keep to himself
He’s confused
But he won’t work it out
He’s shy
So he won’t speak
He’s losing
But he won’t cheat
He’s bruised
But he won’t ice
He’s twisted
But he won’t laugh
He’s in love
And he’ll smile.
