Acceptance

Acceptance

A Poem by Lena

Always second fiddle, never first choice
Can’t say I blame you for leaving
Couldn’t be what you thought you wanted
Except I stopped caring when you stopped loving me
Pretending what I wasn’t gave way to be what I am
Turn up your nose, I couldn’t care less
All you wanted me for was a title,
No more labeling
Choosing my own path now
Eve of the unknown
