Daughter to Mother

Daughter to Mother

A Poem by SunshineKim
"

Tis true you do not deserve this.

"

I come home full of a substance
the subtance is guilt
throughout my body

I can't bear to look up into her gaze
so strong against my naive eyes.
My face grows hot, as she
screams through silent lips

It's not her voilent words that I'm afraid of
it's her silence, that shall haunt my dreams
I've commited myself to faults
for that I'm sorry
Daughter to Mother,

You do not deserve this.

This, I'm sure, has a much deeper meaning than I can uncover. I'm not the best when it comes to poetry, I really just don't get it. But, it reminds me of when I was younger, coming home, and knowing that I had done something wrong.

Even if that's not right, I really like this.
