THIRD CHANCE?

THIRD CHANCE?

A Poem by Dreamer

Heart pure as gold

(Cliches make my soul sick)

Look though the glass window,

Discounting the stain.

Hold your perception of me

At the peek,

Rocking precariously

Destined to fall

Lest I maintain this stray jacket (arms unsettled)

First chances- bless untarnished views.

Second chances- kiss the sinless sinner.

Third chances- based on my lack of care, do not exist.

AT LAST, THE SMUDGE SHOWS!

Forgiveness is not a symptom of forgetfulness

I'll have you know-

Its quite alright not to drink poison- even when the bottle dares, "Drink me"

Besides, my peripheral vision is strong enough.

A third chance?

"No thank you,

Still sick from seconds."

Instead I'll leave you in my blind spot

For a lesson and a laugh I'll eventually gain.

Opposed to this unpredictable play and uncertainty.

And "chances" that seek to run into infinity.

Never give a person a third chance. Two times the damaged should of been learn and understood.
"First chances- based on naivity and an untarnished way of thinking.
Second chances- based on good will, forgiveness.
Third chances (unknowing to you)- based on my lack of care, do not exist.
AT LAST, THE SMUDGE SHOWS!"
You told the truth in the above lines. Thank you for a excellent poem.
