IT COULD NEVER LAST

IT COULD NEVER LAST

A Poem by Dreamer
"

The continuation/ follow up of "Let Summer Last"

"

Structures attempting to be built on fictitious stories,

It could have never lasted

Crumbling faster than the flow of combative beats

Standing only so long as he withheld reality in heavy doses

And I would say more except…

The dream catcher has already been broken

And those words have already been spoken

A strange emotion this poem releases in my chest. Sadness. Regret. Destiny and a sense of certain instability.
The last two verses I find especially scary, not scary, but it sends a slight shiver up my spine. Short but beautiful.
