How I turned into a vampire (Day 1)

How I turned into a vampire (Day 1)

"

This is the story of a 17 years old orphan who got adopted into a family only to find out they're not what they seem.

"
Hi, my name's Alex. Over a year ago I was still living in the orphanage however one day this nice looking woman came in and decided to adopt me. Don't know why but that wasn't important- I was finally going to have a family to call my own. Her name is Kateryna Timber, and she also introduced me to her family. I've never seen so many siblings, causing, aunts and uncles before. Was it possible for someone to have so many relatives? Anyway, we learned about each other and I may I say that it was pretty great. Everything was normal.

But, all of that changed on that day. I was walking down the hallway which led to the living room when I suddenly came upon a door. A door that's never opened. I turned my head to see what inside the room. I didn't go in but my stupid eyes were being really curious today. What I saw was horrifying. I could see one of my siblings, Clay the third eldest son. He was on the floor on top of what turned out to be a person. Two sharp teeth in their. He was enjoying it. As I witnessed this dread came over me, I was petrified at the sight of the monster before me. I wanted to run, I really did, but all could think about was "calm down... Vampires can smell fear".

Suddenly, I remembered what my mother used to tell me. You see, before I went to the orphanage - when my mom was still alive she used to teach about all sorts of things, especially how to survive. We were poor, life was hell and so to stay to alive I needed to know the most important thing "survive". I remembered one of those lessons was about vampires. Now that I mention it, there was a lot of survival techniques against vampires, I guess they're more popular than I thought they were. Where was I? Oh yes. I needed to stay calm and carefully turn and walk away. And so I did.

I slowly turned my head and started carefully walking down the rest of the hallway. It felt like the hallway was as long as ever. I didn't turn my head, because I didn't want to know that may be just maybe he was right behind me. After what felt like hours I was finally in front of my room. I went in and closed the door, no, locked the door. As I laid on the gigantic and comfy bed I thought to myself " He definitely saw me, Clay definitely saw me. " The image of Clay feeding on that person was still fresh in my mind. I mean I could probably draw a picture if you asked me to. I didn't know what to do with myself, should I just pretend I didn't see all that or should I just run away. It was so horrifying, like watching a nature show on worms. I didn't realized that while pondering on those thoughts, I had already fallen asleep.
