Five Busy BeesA Poem by DestinyYay!Nothing could be better than this day Five busy bees we were Scrubbing, sweeping, singing
The sunlight drifted into the room as it did every morning Filling the space with its brilliance
The dust motes swirling, and the silver smoke writhing, from the incense that burned slowly on the stereo
The Queen, the strongest of us all Shouted orders and chose the songs That would move our bodies and spirits
Voices could be heard Joining in from every room Always in perfect harmony
Cleaning day was no chore The hum of the hive Took away its sting
Nothing could be better than this day Five busy bees we were Scrubbing, sweeping, singing© 2011 Destiny |
