Reality

Reality

A Poem by June Fowler
"

A lovers wish to reconcile with his/her lost love once again but its futile.

"
                            Reality
Where have I not searched for you
For every nook and corner is now familiar ,
Alas! where are you my love!
For even today, my eyes search for you in the sea of people around.
Life hours fly just thinking of the times we spent.
Today there is only me and the void
What has this life of mine come to,
For in every phase of life I have found myself alone,
Just wishing that U were there too!
Whenever they talk,
When your name is mentioned,
The feeling of you being mine was there;
But today,  the mention of your name makes me
 realize,
The one who was mine is mine no more!
This is the bitterness of reality!

What an emotional work, I like the ending, a few days ago I met a few college friends, we talked a lot, but I felt that every one is hiding the real self, I than acknowledged that we are not friends now, time has changed us, it changes everything, very nice read june

Okay, that was a really well done piece ma'am.
The ending though realistic, broke the flow a little.

But other than that a job well done.

Thank you for sharing.

A realistic ending to the poem. Take time and distance to learn.
"The one who was mine is mine no more!"
I like the thoughts leading to the strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
