RemembranceA Poem by Sunil SharmaLove as remembered; its power; as a therapyRemembrance Silken… Like those scented nights, When my body, Your lingering fragrance, Fused as marvellous one; All sensations, Brain processes, Reflexive movements, Ceased, Then, to be transformed Instantly into a solid, Single unit, That Became a thought-less one, Under the short, perfumed Star-lit
nights, Presided over by a wandering Waxing/Waning moon, Restless and pining, Like somebody in remembrance mode, And in mortal pain, And, When icy cold winds from Arctic, Failed to freeze the warmth of This ad-hoc
unity Of one body
and soul; This strange solid fusion When earthly dualism gets abolished, And ethereal love reigns supreme, Before being corrupted by later cynicism Caused by cash-nexus: In Detroit, Delhi Istanbul, Or, Hamburg; But it was to occur later, The scented silvery nights, And a milky soothing moon, Peeping in from an open window, Like a curious child, woken up, At mid-night; Lovers as one, The time it was, Love ruled every revolving atom, When two hearts beat strong and In perfect unison, But--- Were heard singing a sweet single note, Beating loudly, Raw passion foaming, Burning red hot inside, The moans heard clearly--- Across the silent nightly dales And hills of all the Known/ unknown Continents And choppy oceans. © 2012 Sunil Sharma |
