WavesA Poem by UnapologeticPoetGetting over a long relationship can be hard, I feel this best depicts those feelings.Missing you comes in waves, some softly brushing against the shore with sweet memories And others smashing violently ripping away sand and shells as they go. Some days I don’t miss you at all And other times I wish you hadn’t gone. Some days the thought of you makes me thankful for what is to come. The safety, security, and love that I get from him Is a refreshing replacement from your cold, bitter, loveless hands. It makes me wonder what good ever came from you in the first place. Then other days I am not so strong and your memory smashes into me with the unforgiving force of a hurricane. I wonder will these storms ever stop? Will he love me, hold me, and care for me enough for these storms to finally cease Will your image finally stop popping into my head every time I reach for him? Time is the only master in this twisted game. I just hope soon I will stop seeing you in everyone. © 2016 UnapologeticPoetAuthor's Note
