Finding Myself

Describing the hardships of trying to discover passions and how to pursue them.

 I’m having an issue finding myself

In these barren thoughts

Twist and turns of my mind

I get lost in the clouds and beautiful blue skies

I cannot decide what to do with my future

Or if I want a future at all

 

I cannot decide if I want to roam like a gypsy

Traveling from town to town

Nothing to hold me down except you

Or if I want to stray and follow my heart

Into wilderness I don’t yet understand

And discover something new wild and unchained

 

I seem to be having an issue finding myself

But it gets easier everyday

Without the massive obstacles in my way

I am seeing this world in a new light

One in where things are right

A bright beautiful new day

This is so relatable - I'm sure most of us have thought this a time or two. It's good to recognize those feelings and writing them down is even better in my opinion - it will bring clarity and understanding much quicker and the next thing you know - you'll just get it! We all want a purpose for life, and we all seek it in different ways. We also all find it differently as well. You just have to find what fits right and what feels right. A favorite saying of mine is "seek and ye shall find" :)

Beautifully-written. Please...! Don't just wander from place to place. We need a place to c all our own..our Home; it is in our soul, the core of our being..and then we end up in Heaven. I've found it is be-fitting me to plant and establish roots, and build a family and a Home. When wandering from place-to-place, we cannot do this. Restlessness does not serve the soul...and, in the end, will leave us tired and unfulfilled.
