Tired

Tired

A Poem by Dorian Gray

I’m tired of dying, tired of pain in all of these mortal ways.

I’m tired of lying, tired of strain in all of these yesterdays.

Could you please just give me a chance?

Help me move from the chair and into the dance.

For better or worse, I’m tired of losing; I tried to keep my will.

I’m the devils pawn on my last straw; I’m starting to feel so ill.

Could you please just give me one chance?

I’m tired of always being on the battle stance.
