Whispers to god

Whispers to god

A Poem by Deck_As_Heck

I love you.

You don’t want me.

You hate me.

I know you do.

You want her.

I wish every night.

Maybe he will call.

You were my best friend.

But I guess she’s yours.

We’ve been friends for years.

You loved me once.

I’m moving on.

Some nights when it’s breezy outside,

I sit on my steps and talk to god.

He listens.

He’s the only one.

He tells me it will be okay.

He says hush child and dry your tears.

Love will come your way.

Pratt, Kansas... native American? If you aren't you certainly have the direct simplicity taught by their example. Perhaps it is the mid-west where even bullshit dries to provide heat and light. That cleansing power is in your work.

Did I say I love you? Well I do but not in a stupid way. I love you like a brother is proud of his sister. Somehow I know that is alright with you. :-)

It's really beautiful. I like the way you set it up, it's moving.
