DeValued

DeValued

A Poem by Sumo

You robbed me of choice and set me free
Knowing it would cut this deep

The scars you wear on your heart are mine
Wounds that won’t heal, not even with time

I want nothing more then this pain to ease
There’s got to be an end yet I have no confidence this will cease
All the faith I had is gone, I no longer believe

Tell me how you stood on your own two feet
by movin in the man you had previously

Were all your words cloaked in lies
Hidden agendas while staring into my eyes
Using my love for you as my own demise
Fooling everyone with your clever disguise

I wish I coulda put a dollar on your love for me
maybe then it woulda been worth something.
