Phoenix

Phoenix

A Poem by Sumo

Out of the ashes I arise, born anew
Shedding myself of pain, once through

Wings fully outstretched I soar
Waving goodbye to sorrows I once bore

Freed from the rule that held me captive
Now allowed to be me, active

Warm wind caresses me, peace fills me
Eyes no longer darkened, now I see

A new world awaits to be explored
My own thoughts no longer ignored

Power from within surges outward
My screams no longer silent, I will be heard

Has the sound of a rebirth, maybe resurrection experience. The impression is that the speaker is coming out of a difficult period of life and now feels empowered to reach potential. Good luck to him.
