I Fail Him Daily

Even though I fail him daily
Stumbling and falling, I just stay at my knees
I know he loves me greatly
For he provides my needs

His hand on my heart steering
Guiding this sinner towards home
Even as the devil keeps me veering
I keep faith for I know I'm no longer alone

We all have a long road ahead of us
This one once paved with a darkened cold
With God at my side, he pulls me from the ruts
The day will come when I'll stroll that golden road

Thankful he knows my name
My life now destined for eternity
For I am no longer the same
Because I answered his call "return to me"

Many blessings ahead, from this new perspective
My eyes wide open full of anticipation
I now see, this world is so defective
And begin to build a proper foundation
