Almost 2 weeks after my marriage

It's been almost two weeks since we wed
No truer words have I ever said

Awhile has passed since I wrote you last
But our love for one another has been cast

I love you today more than yesterday
That's always been my goal, not just today

I pray you'll always look to me with love
Holding me close at heart when I'm thought of

I hope to never let you down or fail in any way
And if I do, I hope you'll brush me off and tell me it's ok

I'm large in life but have an even bigger heart
Please handle with care, it's been abused and torn apart

You've healed me and taught me more than I could ever imagine
I hope I can do the same for you, if only a fraction

To you I'm thankful for your love and your companionship
I'll always place you first in this relationship

So I end with yet more heartfelt praise
Know I will love you till my end of days
