Teardrops

Teardrops

A Poem by Sumo
"

Written with the premise that no tears are wasted

"
As the first tear saunders down my face
It searchs for its final resting place

One followed by another creating a stream
Each filled with a nightmare or a dream

Tear drops are an emotional bleed
But there's potential in each liquid seed

Born from intense feelings
That leave your mind reeling

Some good, some bad
Some happy, some sad

Like a farmer in the field you reap what you sow
Appreciate each drop as an opportunity to grow

Thankful for each tear that's fallen
I live my life all in

I've loved and lost and loved again
Sometimes I didn't know where to start or where to begin

Just as my moistened face, I'd wipe it all away
Learn my lesson and face each day

Falling to my knees I'd begin to pray
Handing it all over, letting out all I had to say

There's a beauty in the release of watery emotion
Almost as if it's a magical potion

Drawn from the pool deep inside this well
Leaving me free to feel well

Relief overcomes me as the tears cease
I can finally rest with inner peace
