Needle In A Haystack

Needle In A Haystack

A Poem by Sumo

I lay awake at night staring at the ceiling
Thinking about you and the way I'm feeling

Waiting for the morning so I can read your words
Something deep inside me, you've stirred

On the computer screen which brightens my place
Wishing only to talk to you face to face

Day by day typing away
Not having to worry about what not to say

For to you I could tell it all
No matter how big or how small

The letters I push one by one
Not hitting enter until I'm done

With this computer I pour out my heart
Wanting to be with you together, not apart

Though the irony is I've never seen you in person
I know it's you who can lift this burden

Hope brought to life from the grave
Your presence is what I crave

Brought together on the information highway
Found in a sea of people I pray

There are no more exits to be had
Spending eternity with you I'll be glad
