Our Book

Our Book

A Poem by Sumo

Sometimes I wish I was treated like a stranger
Avoiding all the hurt and anger

Petrified to open myself up once again
My stories always rushing to the end

Desperate for a novel we can write together
Page after page, continuing forever

Each loss expressed as a "new chapter" in life's book
I feel like a set of Encyclopedia Brittanica's on my nook

Wanting to switch from a horror story to love
Full of great memories we can think of

First page dedicated to my soulmate that lives
Beginning once I find out where she is

May our ink never run dry
And happy tears the only ones we cry

Best selling, top of the charts
Because what we share will be straight from our hearts
