Time

Time

A Poem by Sumo

Is love bound by time
Is this one yours or could this one be mine

Wound up so tight you must be careful
Wishing you didn't have to be so fearful

Sick and tired of all the mental games
Going through the women one by one, crossing out names

The sorry the hurt the feelings of pain
Unfortunately it's the game, singles play in vain

Because living a life totally alone is no way to go
Waking up in a cold sweat, afraid. Feeling low...

Stumbling through life living it day by day
Only wanting the nightmare of loneliness to go away

To stop these insidious visions of mortality
Wishing my dreams instead to become my reality

Flashing in and out of my head, night after night
Hoping I don't snap, I fight back with all my might

Until that one day I finally meet my one true love
The one that completes me, the only one I'll ever think of

This battle never ends, repeating relentlessly
Will this be life, is this my destiny

I have to believe this isn't what's meant for me
This too shall pass, one day I'll see

A love like no other is to be had
Two hearts as one, ironclad
