Nightmares to Dreams

Thought after thought racing through my head
Memories all bungled up and mixed instead

Not knowing what to write or what to say
Not flowing or in a row but coming out all astray

Wishing only to line up my thoughts one by one
Is this enough, do I need more or is it done

This word here this word there
Lost and confused pulling out my hair

Feeling as if the beginning is over and the end is near
Can I continue, fighting the fear

Wondering over and over do I even care
No feelings left, none to spare

Wait what am I saying, I must go on
One day I'll awake to a new day, rising at dawn
To find where I am, and not go where I've gone

No longer confused and lost
Getting where I want to go, no matter the cost

Being regenerated in a way I've never felt
It's time to sit back, relax and loosen the belt

My hopes and dreams one day to become a reality
No longer wishing to be just another fatality
