At times I'm ashamed of being a man
I've tried to be all that I can

Every day I hear a coworker that's trying to get laid
While their wives are at home their love lives fade

What these men create is women afraid to love
Experiencing a real relationship and what it's made of

The few real men that seek the one that will last
Are out of luck by the pain caused by men past

An endless cycle, the emptiness felt by both
While searching for what is wanted the most

The one that always makes your heart go pitter patter
The one that makes sure even the little things matter

A sturdy foundation that'll always be there
Through the test of time and always care

Who will always love you, good and bad
Who will provide you with more happy then mad

Holding on to you throughout the night
Never wanting to let go, holding on tight

Loving you even at your worst
Building up enhancing each other's worth

Ladies never settle, demand how you wish to be treated
Don't ever allow yourself to be defeated
