Prayer: From the Heart

Have you received God’s free gift of salvation? Everyone is in need of it because “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)  Since we are all sinners, and “the wages of sin is death,” (Romans 6:23) we need something that will save us from our sins and rescue us from death.

            That something is Jesus! Romans 6:23 goes on to say, “But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  If you recognize that Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead, and you believe He has the power to forgive your sins, then ask Him to come into your heart and become your Savior.  Know that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)"the only way to get to Heaven.  Ask Him to be Lord of your life and come into your heart now:

 

“God,

I know that I am a sinner, and I know that I need Your Son, Jesus, as the Savior of my life.  He is the only One who can take away my sins.  So I ask for forgiveness, and that You would come into my heart and make me a new person who lives for You.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
