The Ballad of Little Timmy

The Ballad of Little Timmy

A Poem by SummerSnow

Whatever happened to little Timmy?

Looks at his mother, passed out drunk

Hungry and dirty, cries for attention

No dad to teach him to throw a ball

Whatever happened to little Timmy?

Whatever happened to teenage Timmy?

Secret crush on a girl that mocks

Cruel names, terrible taunts

No one there to call a friend

Whatever happened to teenage Timmy?

Whatever happened to adult Timmy?

A long relationship with a lover named heroin

Prison his welcome refuge

Anger always with him, his best friend

Whatever happened to adult Timmy?

Whatever happened to dying Timmy?

Rope thrown over a desolate tree

Slipped over a gaunt and worn face

Thoughts of no one as he breathed his last breath

Whatever happened to little Timmy?
