I really wish I could turn back time

Then I would make you feel

That you were all mine

I will never forget when that time was blue

And how you stuck to me so true

Even though you were away a lot

I never once felt we would be apart

I thought problems would just go away

And that the love I held

Would make you stay.

I know you say it was not my fault

And that I made an effort to keep us right

But I believe I could of done more

to keep you here behind our door

My dream each night was to have you home

but you were always travelling to and fro

To different places far and wide

I really wish I could turn back time

I would tell you not to go again

To find something else so we could begin again

Make a life we always wanted

Instead of you feeling lost and haunted

But now the days have all but gone

with me alone except for one

A beautiful girl with eyes so blue

Who also looks a lot like you.

As you know from words that I said

I miss you loads and days I dread

Our family home still looks the same

As if your coming home again.

But I have done all I can

Given options that could be a plan

Showing you what we could be

A brilliant family just us three

I love you, want and need you so

But you have chosen pastures new.

Please just remember I am trying hard

to forget the dreams I thought we had

My heart is still aching for someone like you

Who now I have lost to someone new.

A wonderful and a heartfelt poem, i guess this must a true story of your life, and keep trying hard, for efforts don't go in vain.... lovely flow and the feelings in the poem just made me focused on it and forget everything else around me... well done!
