Suicide

Suicide

A Poem by S.J. Holmes
"

A random poem about suicide that I wrote when I was depressed.

"
Its trickling down my face,
My heart slows its pace,
My body is numb,
What have I done?
I didn't want this,
Yet I accepted death's kiss,
With every touch,
The harder I clutch,
Onto the life that I let go,
I never thought I'd end up so low,
I never thought I'd end up here,
Where there is no one to hear,
My screams that echo from the empty halls,
As I slide down the plain black walls,
There's no way back,
For a body I lack,
I'm forever alone,
Never to go home.

Hello. I think it was quite a nice poem, if I had to criticise anything about it it may be that the rhythm seems much the same for the entire poem. Perhaps it might read a little better if it was broken up in the middle, or a change of the rhyming pattern. In any case, nice work.
