Hellcat LoveA Poem by Summer EmswilerFor the love of my life.
Hellcat Love
A love song I've never heard before now. It rings in my ears, I just want to shout! Bellow from the rooftops! Please hear my vow! Please know my love for you comes with no doubt. Rambling about World War Two know-how. Singing Beatles to me, I think I've lucked out. Taking pictures in bright blue bonnet fields, Never felt more beautiful than that. You made me put down my defensive shield. I see now that love can be without combat. But now, for once in my life, I feel healed That fact hit me harder than a hellcat.
