Buckle

Buckle

A Poem by Sumi

They harden my emotions,

Pulling loose the strands from

My clothes.

Unwrapped, the tide

That crashed onto my knees

I buckle,

The blue

It’s warm and soothing

Abhorrence.

It’s freedom at it’s finest,

When I let you wander the sinking

Sand, crawling with feeding creatures.

You’re clawing the eating monsters,

Burning holes in them,

They are doll’s eyes.

The smell of a hot morning,

The steamy fog brushing my face.

Chastity and protection

At best.

It’s when you’re saving time,

Swimming thickly

Towards my destination.
