There once was a man
who believed he was complete
Without love in his life
or anyone home to greet

Well known as sweet,
but became tainted by a cheat
And now lies a soul
crushed from love
and sorrow as he loathes

His nights filled with contemplation
and regret of engaging in conversation
With the woman of dreams
who stole his heart
along with his hopes and his spark
