Love Lyrics for an Old Friend

Love Lyrics for an Old Friend

A Poem by sukrit.leo
"

A song of nostalgia, dedicated to an old friend.

"
Summertime comes back to me
Old, forgotten childhood memories
When my heart spoke louder than my mind to me
Arms entwined and the moon in our eyes

I think of your smile
And pray it be ever alive
The stars in your eyes
I found my world in their shine

Sometimes I still look out for thee
The only miracle to ever happen to me
I learnt from you, it made me see
And love without greed, the hard way, if it be

Patched-up hearts and hammered desire
A pulse that refuses to die
Shattered souls are damned to life
With heartless beat and no voice to cry

Now I search for the feeling you hide
All treasures of the world futile
What I seek, I may never find
My reason to be alive
